The May Lodge meeting of Royal Lancashire Lodge was of necessity, rather brief. In the absence of the Worshipful Master, sadly on holiday under a blazing sun, the Immediate Past Master, Worshipful Brother Rodney Rostron conducted the Lodge with a high degree of skill, showing that he had forgotten nothing since relinquishing the Chair. For the first time since the pandemic, Ladies and Gentlemen guests joined the Brethren for a very convivial and enjoyable evening which comprised a full five-course meal, some lively conversation and a chance to catch up with friends after the recent enforced absence. A table quiz was issued to teams of four and this proved to be extremely popular, with questions drawn from a number of sources and answers sometimes requiring deep thought. The winning team comprised guests David and Bernardette Seaward, together with their hosts, Assistant Director of Ceremonies, Worshipful Brother Steve Burles and Mrs Sharon Burles, who received bottles of wine for their superb efforts.
“Ladies to Dine” will, once again, become the business for the May Lodge for the future.
