After a short, formal opening, the meeting proceeds with business in the form of various reports from the secretary, almoner and charity steward, together with news from other parts of the organisation. Depending on circumstances, ritual in the form of playlets may then be delivered, prior to a formal retiral.

Yes, we retire to enjoy a meal, usually referred to as the festive board, with time to chat, followed by a few short formalities.

In the Lodge, aprons are worn, referring to the working attire of stonemasons, on whom our structure is based. Embellishments show the status of the wearer and his place in the scheme of things.

Again, these are modes of recognition used by the ancient stonemasons and only form a token part of our rituals.

Women have their own freemasonry, similar to our own, but neither mixes with the other in a Lodge setting.
