Welcome to Royal Lancashire No.116

Royal Lancashire Lodge, situated in Colne, East Lancashire, is amongst the oldest Lodges of Freemasons in the world. Freemasonry has been continuously practised here since the 17th century and the members, past and present, are justifiably proud of the antiquity of the organisation and the contribution that Royal Lancashire Lodge has made and continues to make, both to the civic life of the town and for the benefit of peoples in the wider community.

Freemasonry has a great deal to offer those men who seek a means to help others, to enjoy the company of like-minded individuals, to enlarge their circle of friends, all within a stimulating, moral and ethical environment. It has more relevance today than at almost any time in the past, cherishing its values, not only supporting its members but also quickly engaging with adversity, personally, nationally and globally.

The membership of Royal Lancashire Lodge spans all ages and backgrounds. A warm welcome awaits those suitable individuals who wish to join and uphold the values inherent in Freemasonry, the world’s oldest fraternal society. More information will be found in other parts of this website. We hope that you find them of interest and we look forward to meeting you.
